Before you create a release, ensure you have all the necessary information and that your audio and artwork files meet the required formats. We recommend reviewing the following guidelines:
Cover Art
Ensure your cover art is formatted correctly:
- Proportion: Exactly square
- Minimum size: 3000 x 3000 px
- Maximum size: 5000 x 5000 px
- Accepted formats: JPG or PNG
- Color mode: RGB (CMYK is not allowed)
- Maximum file size: 36 MB
Do not reuse the same artwork for multiple albums. If your cover art contains text, it should match the project name and/or credited artists. Any contributor names and titles present in the cover art must match the release metadata exactly or include relevant abbreviations. Only use images you have the rights to use for profit.

Audio Files
Ensure your audio files meet these specifications:
- Format: WAV
- Minimum: 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, stereo
- Recommended: 24 bit, 48 kHz or 24 bit, 96 kHz, stereo
Remove excess silence from the beginning and end of your track (8-10 seconds max), as music stores will not accept files with too much silence.

Artist Names Guidelines
- Do not include: Role, date, instrument, former band, website, TV show, contest, etc.
- Prohibited: URLs, website addresses, email addresses, etc.
- Compound names: Submit artist names individually, not combined as a single name.
- Generic names: Terms like "Yoga," "Workout," "Meditation," "Baby," "Christmas," "Top Hits," "Chorus," "Orchestra," "Singer," etc., are not allowed.
Using Uppercase, Lowercase, Abbreviations, Accents, and Special Characters
- Use correct capitalization. Do not enter album or track information in all caps or all lowercase letters, as this will delay distribution to music stores due to their strict submission guidelines.
Third Party Material
- Ensure you have secured all appropriate rights if you’re using someone else’s beat or sample, releasing a remix, or a cover.
- You are not allowed to use audio content you don’t own or don’t have permission to use, including samples from films or TV, instrumentals, or beats.
- You cannot upload a remix of another artist's music via MusicDigi.
Lastly, check your spelling and verify that you have uploaded the correct audio before submitting your release. Once your album has been distributed to music stores, it cannot be modified in any way, as stores consider an album complete and final upon delivery. Therefore, it is crucial to enter all album information carefully and correctly.
