Occasionally, stores have trouble matching releases to the correct artist profile. This is common when artists share the same or similar names, and the store’s algorithm is unable to correctly assign the release.
If your music ends up on the wrong artist profile, most DSPs provide a way to fix it directly and prefer to handle these requests themselves. Here’s how to do it:
Spotify
- Login into your Spotify for Artists account
- Access the following form: https://artists.spotify.com/c/content-mismatch
- Choose “Some of my music is on another artist’s profile”
- You’ll be asked to submit some information about where your release is appearing, and where it should be appearing instead.
