Your Spotify URI serves as a unique identifier assigned by Spotify to every artist, album, and track. If you need to locate yours, here's how you can do it!
To get your Spotify URI for a pre-save:
- Log in to your Spotify for Artists account.
- Navigate to the Upcoming Releases section.
- Click the three dots located on the right.
- Choose View playlist pitch.
- Copy the 22-character URI that appears after "submission."
To convert this URI into a usable format:
- Copy the ID found after "submission/".
- Paste the ID at the end of "spotify:album:".
- Your final format should resemble this: spotify:album:lotsofnumbers&letters2.
For a quick way to retrieve the URI directly from Spotify, hold down the option key on Mac or the alt key on Windows while hovering over the share menu.
Remember, you can effortlessly convert Spotify URLs to URIs since they share the same internal code! For instance:
- URI: spotify:artist:EXAMPLE
- URL: https://open.spotify.com/artist/EXAMPLE
Both links share the same ID (EXAMPLE), differing only in their prefix:
- https://open.spotify.com/artist/ vs spotify:artist:
